Marc-Antoine Carette exerts his defence practice as much before the courts of first instance as
before the courts of appeal. He is a member of AJBM's professional and personal development Committee
and a member of the Association des avocats de la défense de Montréal. He is also the author of the
Bulletin of Carette-Downs jurisprudence in regards to infringements related to motor vehicle published
by the national publisher Lexis-Nexis (Quicklaw). He was lecturer at the annual Congress of the
Young Bar Association of Montreal in 2006 within the framework of the conference: "Tout ce qu'un avocat
civiliste doit connaître du droit criminel" (All that a common lawyer must know of the criminal law).
He goes to the United States annually in order to lye in wait for new developments on the legal expertises
used in defence during trials.
